Hallowhat?

Okay, so I'm not at all a fan of Halloween, or at least what it stands for. I AM, however, a fan of cute kids in cute costumes having a fun time getting all jacked up on sugar. For the record, my children will never dress as anything that they wouldn't want to have in their closet after lights out, if you get my drift. So when Grandma offered to buy my little bear cub a CUTE costume, I happily let her. My day started out appropriately for one where horror is glorified on every other doorstep. My sweet "sleepsthroughthenight" child awoke at 4:00 am. and had zero interest in returning to the happy slumber that I so desired. (I am so spoiled) I fed him and played with him until about 5:30 when I returned him to his little slumber and I hurried back to bed just as Ian's alarm went off (he's getting up earlier this week for a seminar he's attending). I fell back asleep sometime after 6:00 only to be rudely awakened again at 7:00 (the NORMAL time my baby gets up). WHAT is going on? I mutter as I stumble back into his room. Well he was up, for good, and so was I. Today was so not the day for this because we had plans to meet Gretchen and the kids at the mall so Mommy could not nap. As payback (not really, just trying to keep my plans) I got him up from his 9:00 nap at 11:00 and as you can see, he was LESS than thrilled -but somehow still cute! We ended up having a really fun day at the mall and Peyton got to have a nice nap this evening while I handed out Play Doh to unsuspecting Trick or Treaters. It was a hit, with kids AND parents and we ran out of 80 Play Dohs in and hour and a half!!! Ian shut off the lights and we got Peyton up from his nap which is when we got these oh so charming photos...Enjoy!
