Just standing around...

I got this happy little smile after a delicious 3 1/2 hour nap. You can see that his hair is still nicely mussed. He flashed me smile after smile and this is the only one that my crappy camera thought was worthy to keep...

I'm on the hunt for a picture of him to submit to the "Live with Regis and Kelly" cutest baby contest. I know he IS the cutest baby of course but a picture will have to do him a certain justice to make those outside of genetic circle aware of his title.

We still have snow and it took Ian twice as long to get to work today. Suzi and Luke are supposed to be coming for lunch so I hope they are still able to make it. The ice last night really messed up the freeways for the commuters up in Seattle, we just have too many hills and too much traffic with ill prepared drivers. I have been made aware that whenever we find ourselves in this predicament the East side of the state laughs and can't understand why these cities can't deal with it. I think it is just sheer volume of people on the roads and all it takes are a few accidents or stuck cars and the whole flow is stopped, literally. Ian had his usual commute home thankfully. I certainly hope we can get over this whole marathon of winter storms before next weekend when I have to drive over the pass to Spokane with just Peyt and Mags. I'm not really afraid to drive myself, it's the other crazies on the road that scare me.

Wow, it's amazing how much music can drive you. I just realized how fast I was typing suddenly to the tempo of the song on my MP3 - it's "Canto Alla Vita" by Josh Groban and it is sooooo good. It has this electric guitar and crazy good piano/drum run in it. Josh is simply the best there is. His music reaches into my soul and stirs it all up. I highly recommend ANYthing by him if you haven't been introduced. He is my absolute FAVORITE!

Peyton is quickly becoming a master "assisted" stander as you can see. He stood there for the longest time trying to open that drawer. Thankfully, it is one that is tough for even myself to open so I did not fear for his safety or that of our documents.
