Our week...

We had a pretty busy week - at least I tried to make it busy. Peyton is cutting two more teeth and he has been pretty cranky and pretty needy. I figure if I can make the day busier, he stays a little happier. Friday was the highlight of our week. A couple of "dear to my heart" family friends from Alaska were passing through on their way to the Alaska ferry so we met them up in North Bend for lunch. I've known Shirley (pictured with Peyton) since I was about 2 or 3 years old and I used to babysit for Alice Faye (not pictured) so I guess I've known her since early adolescence. It was a quick but fun lunch and Peyton enjoyed his time with Shirley.

Saturday, we babysat Luke and got a taste of life with 2 kids. I'm glad that I will never have two children only 6 months apart but it wasn't too difficult. Luke is a sweetie and easy to care for. Peyton got to stay home later in the evening with Zach, Suzi and Luke while Ian and I went off to our friend Jim's 40th birthday party at the marina in Gig Harbor. It was a fun evening, especially since it wasn't OUR 40th birthday...

After a rough nights sleep last night, we spent today pretty lazily. We went to church and Ian ran but other than that we remained pretty mellow. Not much planned for this week although we are getting out of town visitors for one night. My Aunt Dea and Uncle Gerry are popping in on Tuesday night on their way to California so that should break up the week nicely.
