Wednesday night Ian and I got to go on a real date to see the farewell tour of Riverdance at the Paramount Theater in Seattle. We took Peyton with us to Olive Garden for dinner before dropping him off at Zach and Suzi's for the evening. We've never been to the Paramount - it is a beautiful theater! Our seats were 3rd Mezzanine but the way the theater is designed, they were still good seats. The show was amazing - I'd say "go" next time it comes to town but since it was their farewell tour, there won't be a next time. We've decided to take advantage of all the great shows in Seattle. Our plan is to go on 3-4 of these culturally enriching "dates" a year. We went to Handel's Messiah before Christmas - also excellent. We'll see what comes next, perhaps a Broadway play? I'm sure we'll have to put future shows off for awhile with the arrival of "#2" but perhaps in the fall. I certainly do enjoy my adult time out with my husband but I'm still always happy to come home to my own special little version of entertainment!

Oh wow! You got to see Riverdance??? They are AMAZING! I'm so glad you and your man go out and "date". That is so awesome. Anyway, totally jealous down here that you saw Riverdance!!
Mike and I watched the Spokane Civic Theatre do "Laughing Stock" a few weeks ago. We had a great time. I agree it is fun to get out with your spouse for events like that.
