Cute as it would be if it were the sweet little face above, it is instead our sweet little Peyton. He has Croup. My poor sweet baby woke us up last night at about 1:30 am barking like a little seal pup and crying his little eyes out. Do you have any idea what this sound does to a Mother's heart? Breaks it right in two. I'm so glad my Mom is here because she knew just what to do and we hurried him into the bathroom "full steam ahead", literally. I filled the bathroom with steam and within minutes he was back to calmly snoring on my shoulder. I called the nurse and got the rundown on Croup. Thankfully, it'll run it's course in a few days and he should be back to his old self soon. Today has complicated by two nasty bouts of diarrhea though so my sweet little seal pup is pretty miserable. Makes me glad that I haven't had this baby yet so I can fully be here for my big baby.
***Update (3/10/08) - he's all better now - only barked like a seal the one night, coughed like a boy the next night and slept like the baby I know and love on night #3. He sure does kick illness fast - thank God! All is well again!

I am so glad he is feeling better. Gavin has a little cold. Not bad but he does have the attack of the green snot and a yucky little cough. Yuck! Hope you all stay healthy for that baby.
She is really a pretty baby! And I love her name. Congratulations to all of you.
