Strawberry "whine"

So it's a new month and I guess I owe my loyal readers a post! It's amazing to me how little time I have these days for things such as this...the demands of a toddler and newborn are at times overwhelming. Today, for example...thank God almighty that it is Sunday and Ian is home. Peyton awakened us to a crib full (FULL) of puke, not just any puke, strawberry puke. THIS after puking all over the dining room carpet last night, STRAWBERRY puke. My poor sweet baby. I have yet to determine if he is sick or purely reacted to the strawberries. He had them earlier in the week and was fine but this reaction came WHILE he was eating them so I'm suspicious. Suffice it to say, clean up has been a challenge as strawberries are little stain masters. Sorry to all those with a weak stomach that you had to endure reading the word "puke" five (okay, six) times. Moving on...

We spent the greater part of the week in the Moscow/Pullm
an area. We traveled east last Saturday and spent the night as a family with my folks before Ian checked into the Holiday Inn for the next four nights. He had to go to Pullman for a class (that's why he was in a hotel) so the kids and I tagged along for a free "vacation" - I use the term lightly as for me it was definitely a working vacation. It was really nice to be at my parent's house and have the extra help though. My Mom does a lot for Peyton when we're together and Papa gives extra hugs and stories. We got to see my sis and family as well as a few old friends. It was a busy 4 1/2 days! Sunday, we lost Peyt's favorite stuffed doggie at our old church. I spent the next couple of days trying to replace it with no success and finally settled on a stuffed monkey that was the same brand and feel of the doggie (very important to a toddler) and looks a lot like his favorite monkey, Mr. Curious George. He promptly began calling the monkey "George" which is funny to me because he never named the doggie, it was and remains "doggie". He doesn't call Maggie by her name either though, she is "doggie". Anyway, on our way out of town I implored Ian to let me stop at the church and look one last time. I checked the last possible place it could be and found it. So now Peyton carries around "doggie" under one arm and "george" under the other. Miraculously, both seemed to escape the puke carnage even though they were in the trenches with him. Okay, sorry, I promised not to mention "p@#%" again...

Well, I've
rambled about nothing for awhile now and those picture seekers are probably wondering when I'll shut up and display my adorable offspring so here are some from the past two weeks...
