Trader Joe's and househunt woes...

My sweet baby boy. I was giving him kisses and zrrrrbts and he was laughing his head off. He loooves to be kissed. I hope that never changes but I'm sure it will about the time he develops an awareness that other people are watching.

Today we went and had lunch with Daddy at his office. We managed to distract two of Daddy's colleagues from their work for an entire hour just by smiling and being cute (him, not me). We also got a baby gift from one of the colleagues - 3 sets of pajamas. I'm learning you can never have too many pairs of pajamas. One of them is blue and says "little engineer" on it. So cute since Daddy is a big engineer. After lunch, we hit one of Mommy's favorite haunts, Trader Joe's! They had Eggplant Cutlets in stock again, finally!

Well I'm starting to look forward to the weekend. We are headed down to Portland for Ian's Dad's 60th birthday celebration. Ian's bro's & their wives (except Kirsten) will be there as will my folks and Ian's Grandma. It should be really fun. My Mom & I are going to take Peyton down to Salem on Sunday and see our longtime family friend Sandy and then pick up his Grandma for the party. It's just going to be a small family affair so it should be really comfortable and fun. Maggie is going to sit this one out at home with my dear friend Angel. I'm hoping they'll have a good time together.

We went and toured the University Place house I mentioned in an earlier post and confirmed what we surmised from the outside...the inside was a wee bit worse. There was so much we could've done to make it a livable home if we had lots of funds and energy. Unfortunately we are a little bit more shy on funds than energy and that won't do it alone. So we'll keep looking, for however long it takes.

I got a comment from my cousin Brian this morning. It's so cool to see who reads these. Most of the time I just assume it's the Grandma's hoping for a peek at Peyt so it's really fun to see comments from folks like Brian. So excuse me a moment the rest of you... "Hey Brian! Glad to hear from you and hope all is going well in NM! We'd love to have you come out for a visit sometime, it's been too long since we've seen you! Love you!". By the way the visiting thing goes out to any of our close family and friends. We have a lovely guest room and love to host so give us a call anytime you are in the area... On that note I better wrap it up for the evening as it's getting late and R&R is calling my name. I'll leave y'all with one more cute Peyt Pic...

What a flirt he is with those eyes! Don'tcha just love him?
