I desperately wanted a picture of Peyton and his cousin Eli in their matching doggie jammies and this was the best I could get. Peyton was very cooperative but as you can see he started to fall over and Eli was just not buying into it. This was the closest we could get the two of them without a complete meltdown from Mr. 2 year old. He wasn't like this all the time. He just has his moments which I hear are normal. I just keep looking at my sweet little 5 1/2 month old and willing him to never be two. I know it'll happen someday and I'll love him just the same and probably be even more fascinated by all the adorable traits of a two year old. For instance, Eli says "okay" for everything. He begs for something and you offer it to him and it's "ok
ay" like you just talked him into it. Today, after a loooong afternoon of shopping, we were in the last store and he suddenly announced with a sigh and tone to clearly indicate that he was done, "Okay". I cannot properly convey how funny it is in this blog but those of you who know him will totally get it. Here's Peyton snuggling with his uncle Greg and playing with
his new favorite toy, his toes.
So today is Courtney's 30th birthday. Oh my goodness, my baby sister is 30. I really can't believe it. She is such a beautiful woman, a great sister, friend, wife and Mommy. She is fabulous and I love her dearly and am so grateful for her. We had a great day together once we finally got our boys out of the house. Let's just say they were extremely needy little fellas this morning. We started off the afternoon with lunch with a friend that we've known since the womb and then were off to IKEA and the Supermall. The boys survived and we returned home to a birthday dinner of Salmon, roasted potatoes and green beans followed by 3 layers of rich chocolate birthday cake. We got the boys in bed in time to have a little grown up time and watch a movie "The Sentinel" (it was just okay) and then dragged our tired 30 something bodies off to bed so we can begin again tomorrow...
