Some days were meant for the park

Peyton's first ride on the swings! This is as thrilled as he ever got. Maybe next time it'll be more of a "high"

We met Gretchen and her munchkins at the park today for a picnic lunch. It was a beautiful day and a nice little park around a lake. Peyton and Audra were both pretty melancholy but Colin seemed to have a good time playing on the equipment.

No big weekend plans for the first time in a month! Yay! Ian might have to work tomorrow but other than that we will just stay home and try to live cheaply. Ian wanted to put up crown but doesn't want to buy it this week so maybe we'll paint the rest of the stairway. My mind is very motivated today. I keep thinking of projects I want to do but all of them take just a little bit of money and we don't have that this weekend. I will have to come up with stuff that doesn't require funds. I've been doing a bit of that lately - had the redecorating bug but no extra money so I've been moving things from different rooms to change the look. It's pretty fun and somewhat satisfying. I've been having a lot of "why didn't I think of that in the first place" moments. Found an incredible carpet spot remover at Target last week - can't believe how amazing it is. I went in and looked for the most plain packaging (because that's usually the best stuff) and what do you know, it is! It totally revamped my carpet. I don't know where all these spots were coming from on our only 2 year old carpet but it was really starting to bother me and made me feel like I wanted new carpet so now it's kind of like I have it. Well I guess that's enough about carpet spots...

Lot's of pictures today because...well, I took lots - and they're cute. Have a great weekend!

Alright Nicole, you have to spill the beans on the carpet cleaner. Is it a Target brand? I've got the cheapest carpet in America in my apartment (normal for apartment living if you ask me!!) so I'd like a helpful hint! Thanks for including a picture of Gretchen!! How fun to see her and her bumpkin.

It's called Folex and it really does work! My carpet still looks great after a couple of weeks! (Sheesh, they should pay me for this!)
