I'll take your nap for you...

Naps have become a whole new ballgame here at the "Wrenchy" house. He gets so tired that he can hardly keep his eyes open but the moment I plop him down in his crib, he's all awake and ALL about the drama as you can see in this shot.

We went and visited my friend Cynthia and her 4 kids today. (Cynthia was my Young Life leader in high school) They were canning salsa so we learned a little about the canning process - now I want to can something! Later in the afternoon we went to my WW meeting. I purposely picked a time when I could take Peyton because I've noticed people are friendlier to you when you have a baby on your hip and sure enough, the ladies were friendly. Doesn't hurt that I happen to have a cute baby...

Tonight was good T.V. night. Survivor got a shake up with new tribes - yay! I like it better with two tribes of a mix of men and women - makes for a better dynamic. My fave as of right now is Yul - seems like a good guy. Ian brought home work tonight so he didn't get to watch anything. We ended up TiVoing CSI and I watched Grey's Anatomy - it was a little naughty but hey, we all have our guilty pleasures... at least we should.

Poor Ian - had a rough week with a project he's been working on all month long. Turned out they had some problems with the Relays they bought and are going to have to return them so essentially a whole month's worth of work is kind of down the drain. He has a good attitude about it though - probably better than I would have had back when I was a worker bee.

Another day of 80 degrees and I am wondering where FALL is! I want my crisp fall weather!!!

I haven't had much luck with writing to you on your blog...I just typed a paragraph and ....now it's gone. skj

It's so fun to read about your daily activites and how you are searching for things to do without alot of money. Sounds like our family back in the day.....the kids couldn't ever get a coke with their meal, only water because we had to have enough money to leave a tip. Funny how they both had a "wait staff" experience and their tips were paying their bills.

Do you have a web cam? I think we should get one so that we can view Jackson on a daily basis....3,000 miles away is torture. You have taken such cute pics of Peyton, are you scrapbooking also?

Looking for fall? We have already had snow, ofcourse it melted but they are forcasting more for the weekend. I was gone for most of the summer so I feel a bit cheated of our great weather. It's sunny and about 40 right now.

Sounds like Ian is being worked to death! Sure hope he gets in a few rounds of golf with your dad. Wanted you to know that Jackson went to his first West Point football game last week in the baby Bjorn. He is so content in the Bjorn, enough that some days he spends hours there.

You might consider adding a recipe column on your blog as your recipes sound great. How about it? Your fam has always been known for their culinary delights!!

Take care....I'll be back soon.
