The mud puddle...
Yesterday we were frantically trying to meet Laura downtown at P.F. Changs for lunch and so Court and I were trying to get Eli's car seat in my car and Mom was holding Peyton. All of the sudden Courtney noticed Eli's absence so I went looking for him. I rounded her car and there he lay, frozen on his backside with his arms and legs stretched out hovering over the very mud puddle his little backside lay in. It was so funny because he HATES to be dirty and had this expression of sheer horror on his frozen little face. Later, however, as Mom was trying to coral him back into the house to get changed he walked through ankle deep mud puddles and finally did a belly flop onto the very wet grass just to "seal the deal".
Gourds...
Last night, Mom, Courtney, Eli and I were sitting at her dining room table and she has this bowl of gourds as a centerpiece. Eli is forever asking "what dat Mommy?" so when Mom held up a gourd and asked him what it was he lowered his head and shyly said "it's a decativ gowd" (decorative gourd) his tone was hilarious - you could tell, he'd been given that very answer A LOT - the really funny part was hearing a 2 year old say decorative gourd.

This is the very pretty view out of our new hotel room. It's Riverfront Park and it's very lovely with the colorful foliage.
Last night was a much better night for all of us. This room is so much better because it's set up more like our room is layed out at home - we even got to sleep back on "our" side of the bed. Also, the bed was just plain more comfortable. So it was definitely worth re-packing and moving. I spent Peyton's morning nap unpacking again - also worth it. I just cannot and

This was my baby when we returned to the hotel tonight after dinner, sound asleep "in the hood"...
