This kid has the best little sense of humor! He is so much fun to just hang around with...

Hanging close to home today...it's nice to have days like this. Peyton is becoming more and more cognizant of what goes on around him every day. He seems smart, not necessarily "advanced" - I'm not one of THOSE kind of parents but he does seem smart, at least. For example, he loves to watch Maggie "fetch" and she is a pretty funny and detached fetcher compared to some dogs - she loses track of the ball really quick, finally saunters over to it and then either gingerly picks it up and brings it back or pounces on it like a cat would a mouse. Anyway, Peyton always follows the ball and then looks back and forth between Mags and the ball just waiting for her to find it and bring it back. Okay, so he is at least smarter than Maggie - goes without saying of course. He just seems like lately he is anticipating things I will do based on routine so he is learning routine. His favorite toy lately is the lids to his bottles - take one of those away when they're in his grasp and hello Wailing Jennings (as Ian likes to call him). He's also very into peek-a-boo lately and loves kisses and being tickled. I can't believe he'll be 8 months old next week. Time sure flies...growing up happens...glad I'm taking time to enjoy it...
