Snow Day!

How fun is this? In Western Washington! Okay, not for some people...Ian stayed home today because the roads are a mess and the news was advising people to just stay home. There were people stuck on the Interstate all night, some abandoned their cars and went and got hotel rooms. It was THAT bad. I guess the roads are just one big skating rink. We decided it just was not worth the risk - they weren't even sending crews out today so his major task of the day was cancelled anyway. So we decided to take advantage of our little "holiday" at home. We bundled up Peyton and took him out in the backyard for his first snow experience. He wasn't quite sure what to make of the whole thing at first. I think the whole process of getting him ready to go out made him a little grumpy but once we got out there and he saw how much fun Maggie was having, he lightened up. He was so funny because snow got on his legs and he just kept looking at it and wiping at it. He couldn't figure out what this "dirt" was on him! He finally started to "play" with it a little bit before losing his mittens.

After being outside in the "frigid" cold, we came in and warmed by the fire.

Sounds like you had a fun day! Donivan stayed home too, but was able to do his work over the internet. I'm starting to get cabin fever from staying in due to the roads...how about you?

WHATS WRONG WITH WESTERN WASHINGTON? Don't get enough snow for your own good. We had 4" and Mike made it to work just fine. :) I have to give you a hard time on our news station they are saying things like "You'll get a laugh tonight as we show you how our western counterparts are dealing with the snow. Later on KREM 2 News" Funny!
