Sunday... dropped Ian off at the airport at 7:45 am and headed for the freeway. The trip was easy and Peyton did incredible! He only slept for about 1/2 an hour before we stopped off in Ellensburg for a Starbucks for me and a bottle & diaper change for him. He spent the rest of the time playing and petting Maggie who faithfully sat next to him the whole time (faithfully because she was harnessed there). We pulled into Spokane around 1:00 and promptly made a pot of chili to share with Greg, Court

A very pregnant Courtney (she only has a month to go!) she makes a cute pregnant lady, doesn't she?
Monday (Peyton's 10 months old!)... Monday had us up bright and early t

We created a little high chair for him and he sat there and happily ate his little fruit puffs while we cooked dinner...such a charmer.
Tuesday... we headed out to Other Mothers, a used kid's clothing store (not USED KIDS, used clothes - just thought I'd clarify) and picked up some darling little items from some of my favorite stores like Baby Gap and Old Navy for next to nothing - such fun. Then we headed to the grocery store for some dinner items. Funny story; we were checking out and Eli was sitting in the basket of the cart totally nodding off so we hurried out to the car and as Courtney transferred him to his car seat, she was explaining to him that we would hurry home so he could get a nap and he kept insisting "I not sleepy, I NOT sleepy!". He was sleeping mere moments later as we pulled out of the parking lot and never woke up as he was transferred to his bed wh

Eli kept running up to Peyton, grabbing his face and kissing him and then he would run off squealing and do it all over again...ahhh to be two and so uninhibited...
Wednesday... spent most of the day at home and then headed over to Greg's folks house because they wanted to see Peyton. Tom and Mary are such great people. Courtney is fortunate to have them in her life. We had a good time there and Peyton had another first, Zippy the cat (he seemed un-phased and probably just thought Zippy was a little dog.)
Thursday... Shopping day! Laura came over and we all piled in my car and went to Babies'r'Us, Target and Red Robin for lunch. I had my first ever veggie burger there...couldn't even tell the difference. It was fun to hang out with Laura, or RahRah as Peyton (seemed) to call her (likely a coincidence, but cute nonetheless)

We wanted a photo of the two cousins in their matching P.J.'s and this was the best we could do because every time we sat them down next to each other, Peyton would attempt to maul Eli with his little hands and Eli would squirm away...
Friday... Peyton must've been excited for the trip home because he arose bright and early (4:30 to be exact). I couldn't get up with him then for fear of waking the whole house so we just laid in my bed and he pawed at my face in the dark for an hour and a half (only a mother's love could endure that) We were on the road by 9:00 and after a very uneventful drive, arrived home around 2:00.

This is honestly how Eli smiles for the camera. What a little cheese ball!
So, it was a good week, in spite of being hard on so many levels... glad to be back home again though!
