Peyton and I went to Mommy group this week at Gretchen's. It was fun - I noticed that we segregated for awhile into two groups, Mom's with 6 month olds and Mom's with 1 year olds. Kind of funny how we are pretty much split by two ages (give or take a few weeks). Peyt went without a nap until 3:30 and then finally crashed to the tune of Ethan wailing in the back seat on the way home. I guess that's where they get the term "sleep like a baby" - when you're THAT tired you can sleep through anything!

Wednesday found me at the Dentist, where I had three cavities filled... can I get a collective gasp? Yes, after 33 years with ONE cavity in my entire mouth, pregnancy sprouted 5, count 'em, FIVE cavities!!! I had two filled last month so as not to break the bank and my jaw! She actually drilled one without numbing. I was tempted to ask if I got a discount based on bravery! Glad that's over with...
Friday night, Ian and Peyton and I headed to Toys 'R Us to do some big 1 year old toy shopping! (His party is on the 24th with our families.) The Toys 'R Us we went to was kind of disappointing in the age category we were shopping for so we went to the new Super Walmart by our house and picked up the rest of the goodies. We got him some pretty fun things I hope - he seemed interested in them when we picked them out and we based our selections on things that he's shown interest in at his cousin Eli's. I'm thinking his Aunt's, Uncles and Grandparents will probably get him some fun stuff too so it should be a fun birthday for him.

Yesterday found Ian, Peyton and I at the golf show. He tried to get a buddy to go with him but they all had other plans so I decided to call it a "date" and just go have fun. He treated me to a Starbucks on the way so I felt like it was a good decision! We signed up for a ton of drawings for golf vacations, all in pretty good little vacation spots, the best being Maui. Hello, please may we win THAT one? Stopped off at Ian's brother's house on the way home where Grandpa Bob happened to be visiting so Peyton got a fun little Grandpa treat.

Finally! Thanks for posting.....it's kind of like you missing your Starbucks, my missing little Peyt :-) Even though we talk often I do enjoy your blogging. Looking forward to Thursday night and the rest of the week-end.....
Yes thank you for the blog. I check frequently so I am always excited to see that there is a new post. I really shouldn't talk. I need to post soon too. :) I will be sending a gift for Peyton over with your Mom. What a fun weekend you have planned. Talk to you soon.
Do you always lock your poor kid up like that???? So cute. Sorry about the fillings. It's such a drag.
I wish I had a good excuse for my fillings!! I don't floss. There, I admitted it!!! Of course your kids is as cute as ever...I check often to see what y'all are up to and glad you had some date time with hubby and a Starbucks to boot! Have a FANASTIC night!!!

Regarding the locking him up (ha ha), or rather, keeping him off the stairs...I was so glad we had those gates installed after seeing G. Bob this weekend - he was teaching Peyton to climb stairs and of course Peyt was LOVING it! Yikes! I'm not ready! He does think it is such a fun game when one of us is on the other side - he's just such a fun kid!
Better to teach him how to do the stairs then to have him try to figure it out on his own. Scary thought! I can't believe it has only been a year. It has flown by in ways but in others it seems like Peyton has been around forever. Crazy how life works like that.
Hi Nicole and Family,
We have not checked in on Peyton in a while! Wow, nearly a year! He is so fun to watch grow through the pictures. We hope you are finding parenting the greatest blessing.
Enjoy your celebrations!
We sent you an invite to our site if you ever get time to drop by!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEYTON! We\ll see you later this afternoon....love Gamma
