Our trip report...
Monday: We arrived in Spokane on Monday afternoon and I dropped Peyton off in Grandma's arms and picked up Grandpa to ride with me out to the valley to drop off Laura at home. She arrived to a dozen red roses from her hubby. So sweet. Mom had made boneless ribs for dinner and a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies. Hello, mother, goodbye diet. Dad hung out until his bedtime and then he went over to Mike and Laura's to spend the night so he could catch a ride home with Mike in the morning. Monday night was rough sleep wise. I shared a bed with Mom, not so bad except for the frequent snoring and Peyton was up from 1

Tuesday: Mom, Peyton and I did a little bit of shopping and left Courtney to rest. We had fun and Grandma took great pleasure in spoiling her three grandchildren. She loooves to buy matching clothes for Peyton and Eli. It was fun to spend some time with her in our element, the mall. Peyton and Eli had such a good time playing

Wednesday: Mom's cousin June and Aunt Minnie (my Grandma's only living sister) drove down from Creston, B.C. to check out my and Court's offspring. We spent the afternoon visiting with them before heading out to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner - a great place to take young families, incidentally, because it's cheap and loud.
Thursday: Addison had a Dr. appt. so we laid low most of the day and ventured out for the appt. and then to Target. She did good - up to 9 lbs., 1 oz. she has surpassed her birth weight in the first two weeks (that's a good thing in case you were wondering). And yesterday, my sweet boy and I drove west, stopping in Ellensburg for lunch and North Bend to return something
for Grandma and then uh oh, we got trapped in the vacuum that IS the outlet mall.

Catch phrase of the week (from Eli): aybe yater, translation "maybe later" - his response to every thing asked of him and OH SO CUTE!
"kissing" cousins...
Changes noted in Peyton...*He started self feeding really well this week and is eating regular food now which is fun and less expensive.
*He had his first taste of ice cream and seems to really like it - flavor? Vanilla. He won't get that very often however, because we don't keep it in the house...
*He looooves to push around chunky little cars and played quite a bit with Eli's "Mater" tow truck. He has no cars at home so we'll have to come through for his birthday.
*He claps and waves all the time now and his sense of humor is really developing.
Today, it was crankyville. I suspect tooth number two is on the move because there was a 4 a.m. crying fit, an early (tear filled) awakening, followed by long naps, cranky awake times, and a lot of chewing and drooling. Bless his heart, he's going to bed with a little Orajel tonight...

Courtney with her entire brood crashed on her...she looks pretty darn good for a new mommy of two.
