This was taken of Peyton right after his bath. I love him in his "grandpa" pj's with his hair all slicked over to the side!Well another week has gone by...it's been a busier one and somewhere in the midst of it my baby continues to transform into a little boy...so much fun!
We had a pretty good weekend - our first without big plans in a long time - it was nice. Saturday night we had my old Y
oung Life Leader from high school and her family over for dinner. They have four kids. Four is a lot of kids - they were HIGH energy but fun, sweet, and polite. Their five year old, Ruthie, was quite enamored with Peyton and chose to spend the entire evening with him "walking". When he tried to play with his toys she got upset and wanted me to make him walk. Have you ever tried making a 1 year old do anything? I told her those were the shakes and he'd walk again when he felt like it. Eventually he did and they had a fabulous time doing laps around the lower level. She wants me to call her and invite her back to walk Peyton - makes him sound like a poodle...Monday, Peyton and I got to go out to lunch with my old co-worker and friend Michelle. It was fun and we went by my ol
d office afterwards so I could help Michelle with a project and the gang could see Peyton. He was a touch clingy and cranky but it was fun to show them how much he's changed. Tuesday we hung out with Suzi and Luke at the park and then went back to their place so I could babysit both boys while Suzi went to the dentist. I was definitely happier in my role for the day...Zach and Ian joined after work for a fabulous dinner and we just hung out for a while. The boys did so well together for their age difference. Suzi and I are looking forward to the day when the 6 months between them is irrelevant and they can just be great buds! Yesterday, we stayed pretty close to home only venturing out once for a walk with Ethan and Kelley. We felt like we were literally outrunning a storm on that walk and may have been out during the only decent hour of weather all day.Today we are meeting up with Gretchen and her kiddos to do a little shopping. I'm also trying to get all our laundry done so we are ready to head to Spokane for the weekend. Ian is running Bloomsday and we are looking forward to getting to spend some time with Court and her brood as well as my folks and our dear friends Mike and Laura (who is pregnant- yay!). It should be a fun time and Ma
ggie gets to come so Peyton will be happily entertained in the car.Peyton with his constant companion - I think she is starting to love him back - just a little...

Can't wait to see you all! Old Man Peyton is such a cutie as always. I like being mentioned in your blog by the way. Makes me feel special, kinda silly but it does.
