A father's day to remember

I was too busy Sunday to post a nice tribute to Ian so instead I'll post a recap of our day as he was celebrated! We went to the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium with Jim, Gretchen and kiddos. It was Peyton's first time at the zoo and he loved it! I have lots of pictures to share so I won't do too much writing. Besides, aren't pictures supposed to be worth like, a thousand words???

This is the entrance to the zoo.
It's right by the water and so pretty!
This little monkey just wanted some alone time!
Peyton and Audra delighted in watching this White Beluga swim laps...

These Otters were sleeping and holding paws -
are Sea Otters Monogamous?
My Favorite attraction...the mighty Polar Bear!
So regal......so playful......so cute!Oh, and did I forget to mention DEADLY if encountered in the wild???

After the zoo, we traveled North to Uncle Alan's house for pizza cooked in Alan's custom built pizza oven... pictured here with Alan and Carla.
Hands down the best pizza I've ever had!!!
Some of the gang literally chilling in spite of the gas fireplace on the deck after dinner. Pictured l-r are; Alan, P8's Uncle N8, his Aunt Yulya, Auntie Kirsten and P8 & Tutu.
