Okay, so good attitude right? Well, it's justified...our "lovely" neighbors see to it each night of this lovely week that they light off fireworks long into the night - we're talking 2:00 a.m. here people! It sounds like Tom Hanks is trying to save Private Ryan in our LIVING ROOM!!! Poor, poor Peyton - he does not understand what it is - he's just scared. Needless to say, none of us have been sleeping well. All right enough ranting. I know this post is loooooong overdue. I've been incredibly busy, believe it....or not. My birthday was last week - yay. It was an old one so I had to arm myself with lots of support. My Mom, sis and her two kidlets came over for the entire week with Greg and Dad joining in on the weekend. It was a whirlwind and it was fun! Peyton and Eli played so well together and Addison was loved by all, especially Peyt. He kept trying to console her in the car when she was crying by holding her little 4 month old hands - so cute on so many le
vels but also because Eli used to do that for Peyton when he was a wee one. Lot's has happened since my last post so I'll try and give you the hi-lites... June 23 - Drove to Bainbridge Island for a delectable dinner at Ian's cousins and to celebrate my b-day with his family. Peyton face plants and gets his first bleeding owie - totally scraped up his little nosey. (See pic.)
June 24 - Dessert at our house with my Aunt and Uncle from Cali - hadn't seen them since Grandma died and it was a welcome visit. Mom and Court arrive during their visit and the week o'fun begins!!
June 25, 26 & 28th - big time shopping - kids were troopers soooo...
June 27th - The Zoo with Gretchen, Kelley and their kids - a fun day!
June 29th - My birthday - Ian and I went to a movie and dinner and then home for cake with my family - Greg and Dad arrived while we were at dinner.
July 2 - I get my house back and start to pick up the pieces of my previous life...
July 4th - We head to Seattle to spend the day at Ian's Mom's house with all of Ian's sibs - super fun day ending with, well, you know what if you read this from the beginning...

This weekend? Father-in-law and wife in town for Ian's birthday - should be another good one!

:-)love that look on Peytons' cute face......kind of an "Eli" look...
Wow, you have had a whirlwind of a couple of weeks but oh how fun it was!! What a blessing to have family close by. Happy Fourth of July!!!!
I have to say that I can relate to the firework thing. When we lived in Pullman it was much worse. We have to sedate our poor poochie because she just whines, cries, shakes and paces. Tranquilizers ROCK! Neighbors need to understand that fireworks are only fun when all can enjoy and at 2:00am it's a fact that not everyone is enjoying.
