The Christmas Card Photo

Today we decided to take our family Christmas card photo. "We don't need outside help" said the people with a toddler and a dog. Ian set up our handy tripod and camera with timer and we forged ahead with great optimism. Peyton, it turned out, was far more interested in the camera with it's three legs than sitting on Mommy's lap. Okay, readjustment time... Nicole will handle Maggie, Ian will snag Peyton on his way into the shot. Well that sort of worked though Mags looks like she has rabies in one of the shots. "Perhaps we should sit? Oh, did you all think I said we should sit on Mommy?"

Yes, it was all quite comical. We finally decided to just leave Maggie out of the last shot and she managed to stick her face in at the last second. Oddly enough, that turned out to be our best shot. It's not a formal pose but we all look happy and by golly, we got the dog in it!
