Happy New Year!

It was a fairly uneventful transition for us from 2007 to 2008. After a trying day yesterday at home with Peyton (trying to ease off the Christmas hoopla has messed up his sleep schedule and his moods) we went for a lovely dinner with 4 other couples and all their kiddos at Jim and Gretchen's. We were home by 9:45 pm with Peyton crashed in his car seat. After placing him peacefully (Thank God!) in his crib, Ian and I hunkered down to wait out the noisy celebratory fireworks of our neighbors. They went until 1:00 am. Ian spent a good 1/2 hour between 10:00 and 10:30 pm arguing unsuccessfully with our bank over fraudulent charges (on their part) and we spent the remainder of 2007 watching a funny yet rather crude movie - nope, wouldn't recommend it to our friends but it sure did release the stress of the aforementioned phone call with the bank! This morning, Peyton once again slept until 7:00 am - a blessing after 3 days in a row of waking between 5-6:00 am! Ian was kind enough to get up with him so I could sleep in. I feel as though I'm fighting some sort of thing sinusy and generally feeling the fatigue of being 7+ months pregnant with a 30+ pound toddler to lug around. Hoping today is just what the Dr. ordered to get us back to life as we knew it before Christmas. I hope all of you have a splendid New Year's Day and remaining year. We are looking forward to an eventful and exciting year!
