Bless you George for being so curious!

There are so many things I should probably be doing right now besides blogging but frankly, I just don't feel like it. Besides, Ian is leaving for BBall in 15 minutes and then my evening will be all about managing two kiddos AND dinner so I guess a few minutes to be selfish won't cause the universe to implode. Life has certainly slowed down for me since sweet Ashtyn entered my life. I've hardly left the house in that time and any attempt to do so sucks me of my will to live. Okay, it's not quite THAT serious although Friday's grocery shopping trip was close. Grocery carts are just not big enough to carry a "not ready to independently walk nicely beside me" toddler and an infant in her mammoth car seat. I have a Baby Bjorn but honestly, when your baby is sleeping so soundly in her car seat, it is not all that appealing to move her and then have to deal with an awake, unhappy infant AND ever impatient toddler. This was my scenario at WinCo on Friday. I was almost in tears by the produce section (the first 5 minutes). How we got through it, I still don't know. I'm sure it will get easier as time goes by. I'll learn to properly plan for 2 year old tantrums in the middle of produce because I'm so mean and took away the Sharpie he was using to draw all over his face with a mere 24 hours prior to his professional portrait session. Yeah, should've seen that one coming. I'm trying so hard not to let him turn into a brat because I'm too tired to deal with his misbehavior. All I can say is "thank God for Curious George!". For the collective gasp I just heard of those horrified that I would use a video to babysit my child, I don't. He gets limited viewing and only when I really need to get stuff done... In fact he is now having a total fit because I just turned it off. Oy Vey!

Ha ha, no gasp here. My kid watches it every day and it's on tivoe. I love "monkey george" and I'm glad you found something to keep him entertained (and educated mind you) so you can stay sane! More power to ya!

Gotta love Tivo! I have it set to record every morning too, that way there's always a "George" in the wings! I love that the writers of "George" always sneak in just a little bit of adult humor to pacify the Mommies...

Im having to wean my kids off videos, in the last months of pregnancy, I was not able to do much of anything, so they watched a lot of videos... Tivo is the best!

I was going to be one of those parents who didn't give their kids sugar til they were older... HA! My first shopping trip w/2 They were headed for a meltdown, so I crusied to the bakery for a free cookie, that got me thru! Thats our first stop now!

Does WINCO have the carts w/ the truck in the front? That helped a lot... And now w/ three kids, and hubby gone soon, I will only be able to shop at places w/ those carts!

Actually, Safeway here (called VONS) delivers! and if you order over a certain amount, delivery is free, I think I will be going that route when hubby is on deployment!

Love your pictures!!!

I can't say I love the baby bjorn anyway it tends to pull in all the wrong places and wears my back out quick. I don't blame ya for letting him watch a little george I loved curious George growing up and think I turned out ok.
