My time with Peyton

It's been an interesting week...there've been days where I thought two kids was a piece of cake and days where I could've eaten a whole cake just to cope with it all. Today has been one of the good ones. Peyton has been reverting and I suspect teething this week so he's been a tad bit whiny. When I say a tad bit, what I really mean is that every utterance out of his mouth comes out smellin' like whine. He's had his charming moments though. He seems to think his Auntie Coco (Courtney) is one of the contestants on American Idol and cheered for her after her 9-5 performance last night. He's also dancing AND singing to this little guitar he got for his birthday. His new favorite word is "okay" and he says it for everything - waaaay better than "no" which is slowly diminishing from his vocab. This morning, the sun was shining and Ashtyn was sleeping so I decided to take him out in the backyard to play with all his cool new outdoor toys. I tried putting on some of Eli's old hand me down shoes for "play" shoes and he very clearly said "too small" and in fact they were. Where did he learn that? After fitting him with some appropriate fitting shoes, we went out and played in the sandbox, pulled around the wagon, mowed some grass and finished off with his favorite activity, swinging. He is such a fun kid when he is not whining! Here are some photos from our special time together...

Ha ha! No, but that might only be because there wasn't any cake in the house...
