Today was Mommy Group. We meet once a month at different people's houses and get to sit and gab about all things parenting while our toddlers play and ahem, build social skills. Or something like that. Actually they are all getting much better at sharing and play quite nicely together. We've had a baby boom this year, 5 born since January and three new pregies. Our group is growing by leaps and bounds! Anyway, it is always a very refreshing time for me and Peyton loves the social interaction. We met at Suzi's and hung out on this very fine day in the backyard, where there is dirt. Now I'm not opposed to dirt, especially where little boys are concerned but let me tell you...my boy is DIRT-EEEE. I guess the "todds" thought it was funny to pour dirt over each others heads...and it was. I really didn't mind. I just figured I'd throw said boy into the tub before his typical 2:00 nap time. Well I guess this dirt had magical sleepy properties because the kid barely held off slumber until we got home and upon our arrival called out "biboybed" over and over. For those of you not schooled in toddler speak that was "big boy bed". I had no choice but to put him straight down with no bath. No worries, we'll shake the dirt out of his sheets later and I'll kiss his dirt smudged little cheeks just the same when he finally comes to again. Some days are just like that.

I thought at first it was a picture of my brother Alf or maybe 'alfalfa' from the old TV series. Papa
What a great Mom you are, to not let that nasty ol dirt bother you! And P8 looks so grown up - more like 5 than 2! ~Tutu
You are a good mom of a boy to let him enjoy his dirt and sleep in it too!!! Oh to be his age again...I'd roll in the dirt too!
