Gettin' in the halloween spirit...I suppose.

We celebrate halloween in a pretty minimalistic way...give candy to the kids in the neighborhood and dress our kids in some sort of cute animal costume. I don't decorate with spiders and creepy such things because, A. I HATE spiders - why would I want extra spiders around my house, real or imaginary? and B. I HATE creepy things and the last thing I want is for my house to scare small children, namely my own, or people such as myself. Some people get pretty carried away and I have to admit, I don't get it. So anyway, aside from trying to catch some photos of my kids in their CUTE costumes, this is as halloweeny as I get, and yes, I am a weeny about the whole the stinkin' holiday...

oh poor Maggie! You are too funny. Things change once the kids get into school. Fortunately, saner heads still prevail here. Kaes is going to be Superdog (again) or maybe Superman from the dress up box. Abigail wants to be Nancy Drew or maybe a cowgirl.

Okay, that was funny! Love the dog photo for sure. Okay, don't get to creeped out but I'm making a spider costume for Carlosse. We have an "Animal Kingdom" Harvest Party we are going to and once boys get a mind of their own they don't want to be cute puppies anymore. So...Zack and Tommy will be puppies and Alex will be a bat and Carlosse a creepy crawly. I'll send you pictures! Oh, Matt and I are going to be zoo keepers. Quite appropriate don't you think???

I'm with you Nicole. I wish this weren't even a holiday at all. I love fall, and harvest and all that. But Halloween...no so much! I love the glasses though. Pretty funny. My puppy would never have put up with that! There are a couple of church events on Halloween here in the valley that the kid's can go to without the creepy stuff. Not that the amount of candy they bring home from those events isn't creepy!!
