So you already know I'm no lover of the holiday known as Halloween. However, I delight in anything that has to do with my kids being cute or having a good time...that means this year, we dressed Peyton up and took him on his first "trick or treat". I didn't think it was going to happen at first because he DID NOT want to put on his monkey costume. I had to ease him into it, first the pants - "see those aren't so scary?" then the jacket, and all under the coercion method that "no costume, no candy"...it's surprising how well it worked considering he is barely even familiar with candy. He took to trick or treating in no time and didn't want to skip a house, not even the scary ones. What a brave little monkey he was! He also loved monitoring our own door and the many costumed visitors. With each new arrival he'd run into the kitchen proclaiming "more kids, more kids". He was quite fascinated with the whole thing. It certainly didn't hurt that Namma and Papa came over for a special visit to heighten the excitement. Here are some pics from the weekend...

Thank God for adorable grandkids. I loved spending the week-end. It was the 'bright' spot of this depressing week.
So cute! I love monkeys! I really do! Oh and cute little bears!
