Peyt of late

Earlier, when I was blogging I was racking my brain for some updates on Peyton and couldn't thing of anything but reading another friends blog tonight about her two year old reminded me of some stuff Peyton has been doing...pardon the rambling, this is more for my own record keeping than anything else. I've really seen his imagination growing lately. Mostly this is happening with his "chichen"...he'll make me breakfast, lunch and dinner and loves to pretend to eat with me. He also is really into his cars and every so often I hear little conversations that they have, sometimes very logical and true to life. He is also still very into being a big helper and has gotten quite independent with some tasks. He can now load the washer entirely himself and only relies on me to put the soap in. When it's time for me to do this he comes and says "be big helper Mommy?" meaning, it's MY turn to be the big helper! He also will transfer the wet clothes to the dryer and push all the buttons. He loves to help make the bed, haul off dirty diapers, open the doors, just about anything and everything these days always preceeded by "I do it!". He also has decided he like showers over baths and likes to shower with me (likely because I'm more gentle with the water in the eyes than Daddy). He understands the concept of clean vs. dirty too, which is amazing to me. When it's close to nap, he starts campaigning to stay up..."I UP!"..."no nap, Peyton UP". When I inform him that nap is going to happen, changes his campaigning to "door open, no Daddy close door!". He's always one step ahead of me. He has also been furrowing is brow a lot lately like he is just really figuring out how to communicate with facial expressions...it is the cutest. I have also observed a lot of sweetness with his sister of late. He is very good about giving her toys to keep her happy and including her in some of his play, mostly with his Duplos. I know there's a lot more but I need to go to bed so I'll end with this quote heard in the car the other day... "Ashtyns crying. Need a sip of Mommy's boobies Ashtyn?"
