You think you're having a bad day and then BAM! Your darling child FINALLY takes a solid nap, wakes up happy and charming and you finish off the day with giggles, hugs and loves. Oh, and Pears. Pears don't hurt either. He started off the day by getting up an hour earlier than usual. I know, I am spoiled but Dad usually gets up with him at 6:45-7:00 since that is when Dad gets up anyway. When he gets up at 6:00, however, it is Mom that gets up with him. I just can't do that to Ian when he is so faithful everyday. Then Daddy is up and at 'em at 6:45 and Mommy gets to go back to bed for one last precious hour of sleep. Early to rise, early to nap. Nap time came at 8:00 instead of 9:00 (see how our whole day is starting off on the wrong foot?). THAT nap barely lasts an hour and he's up and not very happy as he's spit up (while laying on his stomach) and then face planted IN the spit up - it was even in his hair. He stays up until 11:30, then down again with much fussing and only lasts a 1/2 hour this time. Well munchkin is running on empty at this point but I stretch him to 1:30 to make sure we seal the deal and this time he spits up A LOT and again, face plants and now he's REALLY upset! I feel horrible for him because he clearly doesn't feel well and now I also need to change the sheets but thanks to "The Happiest Baby on the Block" on CD (5 soothing sounds for baby) I get him cleaned up, turn on the "blowdryer" track and he's off to baby dreamland for a solid two hours. The sweet little happy boy above is what I got after that. I fed him pears for the first time and he LOVED them! Pears are a hit...I spent much of my free time researching convertible car seats because he's outgrown his infant seat. Talk about overwhelming. I read the reviews (the ones by actual owners of the seats) That just makes it more confusing because you get such mixed reviews. We're going to go buy one on Friday night so if anyone has any rave reviews on the one THEY own, I'm listening.
Football...
Well, FF is a bust this week. There were two undefeated teams going into this weekend, myself and "Bonecrushers". We squared off, WITHOUT my precious Eli Manning and coming into tonight's game I thought I had a pretty good chance of pulling out a victory because I was only trailing by 15 points and my star RB (he averages 20 pts a game) was playing but then he decided right before the game NOT TO PLAY (due to a plaguing knee injury) Arrrrrrrggggghhhh! I know, right now all my girl friends are cringing, "Why does she even care? It's JUST football". I know but just think, a chick beating out all the guys would be pretty darn sweet!
P.S. I've gotten a lot of requests for the carpet spot remover I recommended a few posts ago. It's called Folex and is in pretty plain packaging. My sis bought it at Fred Meyer for about $2 more than I paid at Target but she called me today all in a frenzy over the stuff. She looooves it and was busily cleaning her carpet spots as we chatted. Hilarious! I had no idea how happy I could make her with a simple spot remover...I'm thinking a case for Christmas...

Yeah the carpet cleaner is great! I can tell because I was there the first night Courtney tried it and then I heard she used the first bottle in a couple of days. I still need to go get me a bottle.
