Happy Presidents Day!

Peyton as George Washington, the toddler years...

Busy weekend! We dog sat Ada, had Grandpa and Grandma "Wrenchy" up, went to Uncle Aaron's Presidential birthday bash (that's what the pictures are from), toured Uncle Aaron and Aunt Johanna's new house, and basically vegged out today, President's Day... so this is my presidential themed post - the only one this year! Aaron turned 35 and is finally eligible to run for office. That, and the fact that Presidents day was fast approaching were his reasons for hosting a presidential themed birthday party. We were all asked to come as something presidential. Ian, Peyton and I all donned campaign stickers for Peyton's campaign in 2044, the first election in which he will be of proper age. His campaign slogan was "It's time to put cute back in the white house". What else is there to say really?

Here is Peyton perched nervously on the lap of the Governator, or is that really Grandpa under there?

The future President models some of his favorite campaign stickers...

My baby boy has been pretty cranky today - doesn't seem to be feeling good...runny nose seems to be the main outward symptom. He better not have caught a cold...naps are a challenge and clinginess is a guarantee! Ian was off today so we had a pretty mellow day at home. We took a rainy walk as a family and watched Maggie and Ada "wrestle" to their hearts content.

Grandma Linda took PeyPey out on the dance floor as they danced to some pretty lively Ecuadorian music...

Sharon you are so funny! I would have to vote for PeyPey too! He has quite a few votes already. What a fun party! Nice talking last night, even if it was only for a few minutes. Talk to you soon.
